John has been with Redwheel since September 2010, where he serves as a portfolio manager and partner. He leads on company engagement for the Redwheel Value & Income Strategies, focusing on driving value creation and incorporating sustainability considerations into engagements. John is also responsible for developing the framework to integrate non-financial risks into the investment process. He is the portfolio manager of the Redwheel UK Climate Engagement Fund.
John previously worked at Schroders, where he specialised in trading and managing derivative securities for a range of structured funds. He co-managed the Schroder Income Maximiser fund with Nick Purves and Ian Lance. He also co-managed the Schroder Global and European Maximiser funds. John began his career at Bank of Ireland Asset Management.
John studied economics and politics in Trinity College, Dublin and holds an M.A. (Dubl.). He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK). Additionally, John serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of The Investor Forum CIC.
