Yasuaki was responsible for the strategy as the lead Portfolio Manager for 17 years (March 2008 - March 2025) and is a member of the Investment Committee for the Japan Stewardship Fund. Yasuaki has over 30 years' investment experience.
Prior to NAM, he was a Fund Manager for Nippon Life's General Account and was seconded to Lehman Brothers International, after a stint in Foreign Exchange Management for Nippon Life in 1992.
Yasuaki holds a B.A. in Economics from Osaka University and a M.Sc. in Financial Management from the University of London. Additionally, Yasuaki has a D.B.A from Aoyama Gakuin University. His thesis was on stewardship engagement between investors and corporate managers based on corporate governance theories and models.
He is a Japanese citizen and native speaker and is fluent in English.
