About us
Redwheel is a specialist, independent investment organisation. Our active investment heritage is built on a foundation of innovation and original thought with conviction at our core.
Who we are
Redwheel is a specialist, independent investment organisation. Our active investment heritage is built on a foundation of innovation and original thought with conviction at our core.
Established in 2000, we embarked on a bold mission: to empower exceptional fund managers with the freedom to act on their convictions and create enduring value for clients. We remain true to that ambition, having built strong partnerships with leading investors for over two decades.
Behind the wheel we have over 151 people aligned to that goal, with 49 dedicated investment professionals across seven investment teams, managing over $22.6bn (as at June 2026) and specialising in active equities and convertible bonds, investing with conviction to capture compelling opportunities.
Management independence
Investment autonomy
Long-term ownership model
Three key attributes define our identity: independence, investment autonomy and long-term ownership model. While none is unique in isolation, together they establish us as a distinctive fund management business structured to be aligned with our clients’ long-term goals; being innovative when building new investment capabilities and responding to clients’ needs, and to be collaborative when working both with and for our clients.
What we do
Redwheel is focused on long-term stewardship of capital and delivering client-centred outcomes.
We are committed to providing experienced fund managers with the autonomy and robust infrastructure to pursue investment strategies flexibly and with agility. This allows Redwheel to capture opportunities as they arise while maintaining a steady focus on service standards, rigorous investment debate, and thorough thought processes.
Redwheel’s seven independent investment teams work autonomously, investing with conviction to support clients’ long-term goals in alignment with its core purpose.
Our clients
Redwheel’s client base includes leading global institutions, wealth managers, and professional investors who seek active management for their portfolios. Our clients include pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, family offices, investment consultants, financial advisers and wealth managers.
Our global reach spans various channels, geographies and asset types, with global reach across UK, North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We partner with clients who share our belief that long-term results are best achieved when empowered teams invest with courage and conviction, supported by autonomy, independence, and a genuine alignment of interests.
While our roots are firmly in the UK, our international growth has expanded our horizons, with the UK now accounting for under 40% of our total assets under management.
Our culture
Conviction sits the heart of everything we do. As a business, we are committed to investment autonomy, independence, and employee ownership; this makes us a highly effective long-term partner.
We have built an open and accessible working environment where diverse perspectives are heard, and more informed decisions are made – because we believe this is how we create long-term value for our clients.
We value people who understand our approach, are collaborative, inclusive, and thrive when empowered. It is our people who embrace the opportunities that enable us to move at speed.
These are the conditions that define our culture, deliberately created to pursue our vision: to be recognised as a trusted, client-oriented investment manager.
